The quality department established the food safety quality systems under the standards of FSSC22000(4.1) and ISO9001(2015). After systems were operating for 3 months, we received the auditing on Apr.15-16th. We give this auditing ample attention, and the general manager Mr. Zhang asked auditors to inspect strictly and give plenty feedback for improvement.
The FSSC22000 system is much more thorough compared to the original ISO 22000, whose content is also included in the new one. It is accepted by GFSI. The auditing includes two phases. In the first phase, after documents reviews and pre-auditing of production site, 20 points for improvement were raised. All the departments cooperated to finish the corrections within two weeks. In the second phase, the auditing focused on the production process control, purchasing and storage, QC, equipment and metering, sales and customers feedback, person health and training. At last 4 minor non-compliance points and 1 common non-compliance point were raised. Finally, we were approved by the auditors .
Chiyuen is now qualified with FSSC22000 & ISO9001. This is one of the first steps in our quality management improvement plan.
